Kiley Spinnier Joins Alex Garland’s Elden Ring Film

According to CinemaDrame news agency, Kiley Spinnier, the star of Alien: Romulus, is in negotiations to join Alex Garland’s cinematic adaptation of the video game Elden Ring. Jeff Snyder, who negotiated the casting of Civil War and Priscilla actors with studio A24, has confirmed the talks.
Elden Ring was developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco. The game has sold over 30 million copies worldwide to date and won multiple Game Awards, including Best Direction.
Garland, who recently wrote the film Warfare for A24 and 28 Years Later for Sony, is set to both write and direct the cinematic adaptation of the popular video game Elden Ring. Currently in pre-production, Elden Ring is expected to be one of A24’s most expensive independent studio projects. Another high-budget A24 project is Marty Supreme, starring Timothy Chalamet, scheduled to release next Christmas with a $70 million budget. However, Elden Ring’s budget is expected to exceed $100 million.
Elden Ring will mark the third collaboration between Garland and Spinnier. They previously worked together on the film Civil War, which grossed $127 million, and the series Devs. Spinnier recently starred in Romulus, which earned $350 million at the box office. She will soon appear in the sequel Wake Up Dead Man and Netflix’s second season of Beef.
